Wine Tasting Saturday the 6th 3-6

Alright people, our wine tastings have been spectacular.  For you to miss another is just, I don’t know, wine blasphemy.  We promote wines with class, attitude and distinction of place.  Why not give you wines that are rarely even heard of, or wines that we think you should try?  Tasting cool wines from all over, usually from the Old World; it’s what we do.

First Godello 2008 by Monte Novo. Godello. Huh?  this grape comes from the Valdeorras region from Spain.  It lies in the North West region of Spain right near Galacia where Albarino comes from.  Very indigenous and very cool. Tones of stone fruit with the minerality of this wine makes it unreal.  $16

Second Sola Fred 2008 by Cellaer El Masroig. This could be one of the best Monstant reds that is under $15 on the shelf. A blend of Carignan and Grenache this wine has red and black fruit tones that make it hard to resist.  $13

Third La Fermade 2006 byDomaine Maby. This wine comes from the Lirac appellation in southern France.  55% Grenache, 25% Mourvedre and 20% Syrah. Mourvedre is aged in great barrels. Very earth driven wine with great fruit aromas.  A seamless wine from Lirac. $26

And Last Les Penses byDomaine de Pallus. This wine comes from the Loire Valley in France.  Chinon is 100% Cab Franc from the Touraine appelation.  Nice dark red fruit followed by a touch of  “herbaciousness”.  Great acid backed with a good line of tannin.  $29

This should be a great tasting, feel free to stop on in and try some of our great hand selected wines.

Cheers!!
